The Amber Court Clubhouse building remodel is a complete remake of the outdated and underused older building.
The exterior of the building was overdue for a contemporary facade remodel and the interior of the building was severely underused. To serve the residents and make the property more competitive, a top to bottom remodeling program was initiated by the owners.
The older building had large locker rooms with saunas and showers which were not being used and presented an opportunity to remake the space into a desirable and trendy space for residents. The shower rooms were stripped down to the studs and new structural components were engineered and added to open up the new spaces that were needed. A private conference room along with two private “Zoom rooms” were added to support those residents who work from home. A single shower was installed at the pool deck area, and two new restrooms were added. A complete new HVAC system was installed along with new lighting.
The site presented several challenges for accessible parking and path of travel which required the surveying by a civil engineering team and some precise design by the architects. On the exterior we replaced the original lattice entry covering with a standing seam metal roof and changed the round window to a square one to fit the contemporary look that we were looking for. This building is on axis with the entry driveway and a high contrast attention grabbing color scheme was chosen. All of the interior design finishes and furnishings were selected by the ownership’s own internal team.
